Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Day Rate: £270/day (OUTSIDE IR35)
Location: Remote with occasional travel to sites
Contract Length: 3 months (with the option to extend for up to 1 year)
Technical Project Manager - Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure and cloud platform projects, ensuring successful implementation from planning through to deployment and handover.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, vendors, and customer stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Develop and maintain project plans, manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, while providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Oversee governance, resource planning, budget tracking, and project reporting to ensure delivery aligns with commercial and operational objectives.
- Support operational readiness by managing testing, transition activities, documentation, knowledge transfer, and final project sign-off.

Technical Project Manager - Required Experience
- 5+ years' experience delivering complex IT infrastructure, cloud, or technical transformation projects in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of VMware technologies, virtualisation, Kubernetes/container platforms, and cloud infrastructure, with experience delivering technical platform implementations.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple workstreams, project governance, RAID management, change control, and third-party suppliers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and senior business leaders.
- PRINCE2, PMP, APM or equivalent project management certification, with experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
