Technical Project Manager
Job Purpose
The Technical Project Manager ensures multiple projects are delivered successfully by driving performance, maintaining client satisfaction, and keeping project profits on target.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with a small team to produce excellent technical CAD drawings in SolidWorks
- Managing client expectations, issues, and installations
- Conducting quality control on work produced by external suppliers and proposals for client submission
- Quickly and concisely creating quotes for projects, leveraging external suppliers and industry knowledge
Building strong client relationships through face-to-face meetings, supplier visits, and venue recon swings is critical. Maintaining quality control ensures correct suppliers are utilised and that installations have minimal post-installation corrections.
Ideal Experience
- 7+ years in CAD experience, with direct experience in retail design & CAD engineering
- Proficiency with SolidWorks (essential)
- Experience in project management for end-to-end delivery
- Comprehensive understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite for artworking is a plus

- Problem-solving and proactive communication to circumvent issues
Responsibilities & Scope
Technical Engineering
- CAD Engineering focusing on value, function, creativity, sustainability, and innovation
- Must possess 7+ years of SolidWorks experience
- Oversee direct client and manufacturing liaison for seamless communication
- Produce technical drawings and development for installations
- Conduct supplier visits and perform quality control checks
- Create file formats (laser, CNC, printing and cutting files, etc.) for manufacture

- Project management: Streamline end-to-end delivery by maintaining speed and thoroughness across projects, ensuring excellence for brands and clients.
Project Management
- Lead project execution from initiation to completion, ensuring timeliness, budget adherence, and high-quality deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate across internal teams (creative, design, production) to meet project requirements.
- Track project scope, mitigate risks, and proactively manage changes while keeping clients informed.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and nurture strong long-term client and supplier relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all client communications:
- Address inquiries, update progress, and manage client expectations.
- Anticipate needs, provide solutions, and conduct regular review meetings.
- Offer strategic recommendations, positioning the Technical Project Manager as a trusted advisor.
Financial Management
- Manage client budgets and ensure financial parameters are met.
- Develop accurate project estimates and proposals.
- Monitor expenses and ensure precise billing.
- Identify opportunities to boost revenue from existing clients.
Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams (leadership, design, engineering) to align on client needs.
- Clearly articulate project requirements and seek feedback.
- Participate in internal strategy discussions, project planning, and process optimisations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
