Hardware Technology Project Associate – The LEGO Group

About the Role

This key member position within the Hardware Technology Project Office Team sits under the Head of Hardware Technology Elements, with a dotted line to the Advanced Development Leadership Team. Collaborating closely within The LEGO Group, the role focuses on leading and delivering new tech solutions at scale, aligning with Engineering, Product Development, and Manufacturing teams to enhance techniques, experiences and play innovations.

Candidates must engage with Emerging Technologies, Manufacturability, Agile Delivery, and Attention to Timelines, Costs, Quality, and Volume to support The LEGO Group’s long term goals and way of working.


Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Development: Work with Engineering partners to:
    • Develop reusable, manufacturable, and technically robust hardware and software solutions across the technology lifecycle within both Consumer & B2C Products
    • Integrate strategic partners to pilot scaled play experiences, robotics, tactile interaction, and Sustainability Driven advancements
  • Project Leadership: Oversee and ensure:
    • Timely project delivery against defined constraints (time, budget, quality, scale)
    • Effective decision-making: project discovery meetings, planning/coordination, and proactive risk mitigation
    • Clear business-facing communication for senior stakeholders to digest technical complexities and propose solutions
  • Team Enablement: Develop and sustain:
    • A cross-functional, agile team environment with unity across sites, departments, and global stakeholder meetings
    • Alignment with Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Quality experts to ensure seamless execution
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain and scale balanced alignment:
    • Monitor, track, and present technical dependencies
    • Implement process control with risk acknowledgement and resolution across the allocated project
    • Address issues or changes cohesively, managing governance with internal and external collaborators
