Technical Project Manager – Synthetic Data

About the Role & Team

The Synthetic Data Research team is developing Ipsos’ next-generation platform for synthetic data and generative AI, transforming advanced methods into actionable, secure tools for the business.

We specialise in two core products:

  • Data Augmentation Workbench: A self-serve internal platform enabling secure data training, generation, with integrated evaluation and governance from launch.
  • Digital Twins: Agentic, respondent-aligned LLMs ("synthetic panellists") that simulate behaviours, responses, and survey data—backed by robust validation, privacy safeguards, and audit trails.

Our work bridges software engineering, machine learning, privacy, and market research, collaborating with institutions like Stanford University for scientific validity while solving real-world problems.

We’re a cross-disciplinary team of market researchers, mathematicians, computer scientists, data scientists, and engineers—building foundational tools that redefine insight creation.

Key Responsibilities

You will act as the delivery backbone for a fast-paced team aligning engineering, ML, and research, ensuring: ✔ Agile execution without bureaucracy ✔ Predictable two-week sprints with clear outcomes ✔ Transparent visibility for stakeholders across product, privacy, security, and research

In Practice:

  • Backlog Management: Translate research/product strategy into clear Jira epics/stories with defined axioms, acceptance criteria, and dependencies.
  • Agile Delivery: Run structured sprints (planning → daily flow → review → retrospective) to boost throughput while reducing churn.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously refine approaches through idanix actionable retros, estimation clarity, and streamlined handoffs.
  • Transparency: Ensure stakeholders—anyone—can see what’s shipping, what’s at risk, and what decisions are needed.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Align with product, engineering, data science, research methodology, security, and privacy to embed governance early (e.g., data checks, approvals).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
