Technical Project Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for managing IT onboarding and technical infrastructure projects from planning through execution and service readiness. They coordinate cross-functional engineering teams and client stakeholders to deliver implementations such as system migrations, firewall and network deployments, cloud and collaboration platform rollouts, and service transitions.
This role ensures projects are structured, resourced, and executed effectively, maintaining visibility into timelines, risks, and dependencies while driving clear communication and accountability across all parties. The Project Manager plays a critical role in maintaining delivery standards, improving operational processes, and ensuring successful client onboarding and project completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define the approach and scope of projects (goals, deliverables, schedule, and budget).
- Lead end-to-end IT onboarding and service transition projects, including client environment discovery, access coordination, documentation validation, and go-live readiness.
- Manage technical infrastructure projects such as firewall deployments, network and server migrations, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint implementations, and office relocations.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to execute system upgrades, security and compliance initiatives, and platform integrations while minimizing disruption to client operations.
- Identify operational risks and dependencies early in the onboarding lifecycle and implement mitigation plans to maintain schedule, budget, and service readiness targets.
- Develop and present detailed project plans charting deliverables and milestones for all projects.
- Implement all assigned project plans and guide projects successfully through the project management process securing approvals, reaching milestones, identifying priorities, adjusting to changes, and delivering the desired end-goal on time and on budget.
- Coordinate scheduling of internal resources, subcontractors, and third parties/vendors.
- Manage multiple clients, their projects, and expectations - Manage tradeoffs and be able to advise on the impact of changes in features, schedules, and scope and how that impacts cost, delivery, and project objectives. Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders - Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Assist the PMO team with advancing and refining project management processes.
- Keep projects on track through clear task management, issue tracking, status reports, and meeting notes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
- IT infrastructure experience
- Mastery of Project Planning tools (MS Project/Project Plan, ServiceNow) to develop project plans
- Excellent negotiation skills and is comfortable interacting with senior-level clients and stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication skills and is comfortable presenting to clients and stakeholders
- Flexible, pragmatic, detail-oriented, and remains calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with being the point person for clients.
- Knows the importance of Project Documentation for a successful project.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive and collaborative problem-solving attitude.
- Flexible attitude toward frequently changing client needs.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of IT Security Consulting and/or IT Service industry.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Working knowledge of project management, planning, resource management, and scheduling tools.
