The role
As a Technical Quality Document Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a vital role in supporting the Major Nuclear Capital Programme (MNCP), helping to deliver critical infrastructure projects within a Building Information Modelling (BIM) framework. This is an exciting opportunity to become the subject matter expert for document control and due process activities, ensuring that essential project information is managed accurately, efficiently, and compliantly.
Your work will directly support the successful delivery of nationally important programmes while giving you the opportunity to develop specialist expertise in document management, quality assurance, configuration control, and digital information systems within a highly regulated environment.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Providing document control and due process support to project teams and external suppliers within Autodesk Vault.
- Quality checking technical documentation prior to issue and transmittal, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Supporting verification activities, including document distribution, review coordination, meeting administration, and progress tracking.
- Delivering guidance, training, and technical support to colleagues and suppliers on document management processes and best practice.
- Maintaining configuration and due process systems, including Autodesk Vault and associated information management tools.

This is a full-time role based at Devonport. Hybrid working patterns are available, with a minimum onsite presence of two days per week.
Essential experience of the Technical Quality Document Manager
- Experience in document management or information management, ideally within a regulated environment.
- Understanding of document control processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience following and working within established processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of digital document management systems and information governance principles.
- Experience of Autodesk Vault, Microsoft Access, or SharePoint would be advantageous.
Qualifications for the Technical Quality Document Manager
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- GCSE Grade C/Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Desirable
- Further qualifications in information management, document control, quality management, or business administration.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
