Technical Recruiter (Fixed Term Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Recruiter on a 6-month fixed-term contract to accelerate hiring in AI/ML, engineering, data, and cloud/DevOps roles. This delivery-led position demands advanced sourcing, technical fluency, and rapid execution.


Key Responsibilities

Hiring Delivery

  • Execute full-cycle hiring for the following specialisms:
    • AI/ML Engineering & Applied Science
    • Full Stack & Backend Engineering
    • Data Engineering, Analytics & Platform
    • DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure
    • Product, Architecture & Security

Sourcing & Talent Pipeline

  • Build targeted technical talent pipelines leveraging:
    • ATS: Ashby
    • Platforms: LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, HuggingFace, Stack Overflow, Kaggle, Discord, ArXiv
    • Tools: Modern sourcing automations (e.g., PhantomBuster)
  • Develop outbound campaigns tailored to engineering and AI communities.

Technical & Process Alignment

  • Conduct structured screening based on technical competency scorecards.
  • Maintain recruitment funnel hygiene and reporting (focus on conversion rates & time-to-fill).
  • Partner with hiring stakeholders on role prioritisation & forecasting.
  • Ensure a high-touch candidate experience.

Experience & Skills

Must-Haves

  • 4–8+ years in technical recruiting, with a specialism in:
    • AI/ML
    • Full stack / backend engineering
    • Cloud / DevOps / platform
    • Data engineering / data science
  • Technical credibility to discuss confidently:
    • MLOps: Model lifecycle, inference & deployment
    • Data: Pipelines, ETL, warehousing & lakehouse architectures
    • DevOps & Cloud: CI/CD, IaC, cloud architecture
  • Track record of driving high-complexity tech hiring under tight deadlines.
  • Proven sourcing skills, beyond traditional platforms (e.g., communities, niche forums).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in scaling advisory, consultancy, or PE-backed environments.
  • Familiarity with Ashby ATS and Microsoft Teams workflows.
  • Experience with technical scorecards and aligned interview loops.

Contract Outcomes (First 6 Months)

✅ Fill priority AI, ML, and engineering roles against agreed SLAs. ✅ Build a predictive pipeline for recurring strategic recruits. ✅ Implement a standardised competency-based hiring process. ✅ Complete market mapping of AI/ML and cloud talent communities.


Contract Structure

  • Type: Fixed Term Contract (FTC)
  • Duration: 6 months (potential extension based on business needs)
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Compensation: Competitive FTC package
