Location: Royston

The Role:
As a Technical Risk and Raw Materials Manager, you will help drive our goals by:
- Facilitate and contribute to raw material strategy for strategic raw materials by working with procurement and operations - zeolites, aluminas, mixed oxides, titanias, etc
- Build, sustain and leverage strong working relationships with strategic raw material suppliers by initiating key programmes at the supplier to fulfil current and future CA technical requirements and managing any benefit or liability to JM through applicable legal frameworks (e.g. IP, NDA, JDA, Rules of engagement)
- Proactively ensure that IP and legal requirements are managed across all strategic material categories, providing team leadership and coaching and to develop awareness of JM/Supplier NDA obligations across functions as required.
- Find opportunities to dual supply key raw materials to enable flexibility in future supply chain (e.g. route to exit Solvay long term contracts) and deliver the associated technical programmes
- Define and drive approach to reduce BOM cost across all products
- Work with procurement to generate and communicate preferred raw materials list for future products based on raw material strategy and technical requirements (through Product Roadmaps 2.0 and / or Aras Innovator)

Key Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Substantial professional experience in a technical environment including experience managing complex technical projects across functional and geographical boundaries and building strategic working relationships
- Experience in a technical customer or supplier facing role in Automotive or other relevant industry
- Strong technical understanding of Clean Air products and materials and their development and supply chain, including a broad contact base across the Clean Air sector
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with an appreciation of the most effective tools for conveying technical and project information to diverse internal and/or external stakeholders
- Proficiency in the analysis and interpretation of complex data and experience in decision making, including an understanding of the potential impact of decisions and the appropriate triggers for escalation
- Proven ability in de-risking projects, identifying continuous improvement opportunities and implementing change.
