The role sits within the Commercial team at DEEP Manufacturing's site in Bristol, UK. Reporting to the Technical Sales & Application Engineer, the successful candidate will be critical in supporting the commercial growth of the business – managing inbound customer enquiries, translating technical requirements into manufacturable solutions using DEEP Manufacturing's DED-Arc (WAAM) capability, and ensuring successful handover to production. Evaluate part geometry, materials, and tolerances to assess suitability for DED-Arc manufacture and advise customers accordingly. Support solution definition, feasibility discussions, and technical customer queries throughout the pre-sales and bid stages. Assist in presenting technical concepts to customers in a clear and engaging way, adapting communication style for both engineering and commercial audiences. Bid & Proposal Management Lead co-ordination and submission of RFQs, tenders, and proposals in response to inbound customer enquiries. Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to gather inputs and produce customer-facing proposals, scope write-ups, and costing sheets. Ensure proposals are aligned with customer requirements, timelines, and commercial strategy, and facilitate smooth handover for accurate project execution. Maintain the Customer Project (CP) pipeline, tracking enquiries from receipt through to proposal delivery, win/loss, and order placement. Customer & Account Support Support account planning and ongoing customer engagement to strengthen long-term relationships. Co-ordinate post-sale activities including deployment, commissioning readiness, and service support where required. Gather and analyse client feedback to support continuous service improvement and understand evolving customer needs. Help ensure customer success, satisfaction, and retention through responsive and technically credible account management. Commercial & Market Development Promote DEEP Manufacturing's DED-Arc capability externally, representing the company at presentations, conferences, and trade shows. Support pipeline development by identifying new opportunities and working with the commercial team to mature prospects. Maintain strong, accurate records within the CRM and internal tracking systems to support KPI reporting and pipeline visibility. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
