Role Description
This full-time, on-site Technical Sales Assistant role is based in Edinburgh. The Technical Sales Assistant supports the sales team by providing product and technical information to customers, preparing quotations, and assisting with order processing. The role involves responding to customer inquiries, maintaining accurate records in sales and customer systems, and helping prepare presentations or proposals for client meetings. The Technical Sales Assistant works closely with colleagues to resolve customer issues, ensure timely delivery of solutions, and contribute to sales targets and customer satisfaction. The position requires regular collaboration with internal teams and face-to-face interaction with customers and suppliers.

- Candidates should possess strong Technical Assistance skills, including the ability to understand product information and explain technical details clearly.
- Candidates should possess effective Interpersonal Communication skills and the ability to deliver clear presentations to internal teams and customers.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, including handling inquiries, managing complaints professionally, and building positive customer relationships.
- Candidates should possess foundational Sales skills, such as supporting sales processes, identifying customer needs, and contributing to upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
- Relevant experience in a technical, trade, or distribution environment is beneficial, especially in building supplies or related sectors.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM systems) are preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Edinburgh and adapt to changing customer and business needs.
