Working for an established end-of-line automation solution provider based in the South East of the UK. This Technical Sales Engineer vacancy will be responsible for growing market share in existing sectors and spearheading new sectors as part of the company's growth strategy.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with new prospects
- Manage the relationships, needs and requirements of existing prospects and customers
- Maintain relationships following the sale with customers
- Provide detailed costings for sales enquiries, ensuring the most cost-efficient method
- Generate customer value propositions and winning pricing strategies
- Visit prospects and customers, completing visit reports to update all relevant company personnel
- Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
- Attend regularly occurring sales meetings with updates on all pipeline opportunities
- Liaise with the technical department regarding technical queries and confirm the recommended solution
- Liaise with the operations department to agree on production schedules for upcoming opportunities
- Attend marketing events such as trade shows and conferences
- Any ad hoc assignments that the incumbent can add value to for the company

Qualifications And Experience
- Essential: Qualification in engineering
- Essential: Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales in automation in the secondary and/or tertiary packaging industry with evidence of meeting targets

Skills And Knowledge
- Proficient use of AutoCAD to sketch basic layout drawings
- Use of initiative to complete tasks independently
- Strong team member, collaborating with colleagues when necessary to achieve a goal
- Attention to detail
- Proficient use of MS applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
