Technical Sales Engineer
Technical Sales Engineer | R241389
A Technical Sales Engineer bridges deep technical expertise with strong commercial awareness, helping customers identify the right solutions for their business needs. This role combines customer relationship management, solution positioning, and project engagement across the full sales cycle, while working closely with engineering, sales, and supplier teams to drive growth and long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Have full ownership of designated customers across the United Kingdom
- Develop and execute customer technology and commercial strategies, leveraging fact-based analysis and in-depth customer knowledge to uncover growth opportunities
- Build relationships with clients at all levels, understanding engineering needs, strategy, products, and end-markets
- Identify projects at the earliest design stage and clarify the challenges they solve
- Coordinate Arrow Engineering teams and supplier resources to maximise product offerings across technologies and suppliers
- Program manage customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle
- Share customer/project intelligence with Internal Sales, Customer Operations, Marketing, Engineering, and Project Management
- Proactively develop and manage the demand creation pipeline, maintaining a project tracking database
- Collaborate with Internal Sales to convert pipeline opportunities into billings

Requirements

- Technically educated – Hold a degree in engineering or technology
- Strong communicator – Clear presentation skills for both technical and commercial audiences
- Commercially acumen – Strategic selling mindset with great business intuition
- Problem solver – Understand customer challenges and position technology/services as solutions
- Presentations expert – Proven ability to deliver technical and commercial pitches
- Proactive, adaptable, and thorough – Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and technically diverse environment
