About the Role
An exceptional opportunity exists for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a globally recognised, 100-year-old manufacturer based in Witney. The company balances industry-leading expertise with a strong, local family-style corporate culture and is committed to growing its product range across the UK and Ireland.
The role focuses on developing and expanding sales, maximising customer retention, extending market coverage, and increasing the number of active customers. Collaboration with the Business Development Team and Technical Sales Specialist ensures a cohesive regional strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactive sales development: Build a strong order pipeline for all company products through lead generation and proposal writing
- Dual customer focus:
- Primary responsibility: Engage end-user customers
- Collaborative with Business Development Team on OEM machinery manufacturers and House Accounts (when required)
- Strategic planning:
- Develop a regional sales plan, prioritising accounts by tier (multi-nationals, national accounts, smaller/transactional users)
- Optimise call and meeting scheduling for maximum productivity
- Outbound engagement:
- Conduct telephone outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, and email campaigns
- Follow up on leads and marketing initiatives with proactive, consultative sales approaches

Requirements & Essentials
Must-Have Experience/Qualifications
- Technical sales background, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a related B2B industry
- Demonstratable commercial acumen and ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in consultative and transactional sales
- Confidence in B2B selling styles, including need analysis, market trends, and competitive differentiation
- Flexibility to travel frequently (across UK/Ireland, sometimes overnight stays required)
- Willingness to initially base operations at the Witney, Oxfordshire head office 1–2 days per week following training
Territory Coverage
- Full responsibility for UK and Ireland (dual market, but own accounts only until expanded)
