Technical Sales Engineer

Technical Sales Engineer (MEP/Electrical/Fabrication) Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience) Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday – Friday)

Benefits

  • Travel expenses covered and potential car allowance for the right candidate
  • Free on-site parking
  • Excellent public transport links
  • Regular team incentives and ad-hoc rewards
  • Complimentary refreshments and occasional team lunches
  • Supportive, family-like culture in a growing business

The Opportunity

This is an unmissable opportunity for a commercially nimble Technical Sales Engineer to take charge of an high-demand sales pipeline within a thriving MEP sector business.

You’ll act as the cornerstone technical expert in the sales team, specialising in high-value, engineering-led enquiries. Rather than starting from zero, you’ll unlock and convert pre-existing leads that are currently underutilised—bridging critical gaps between sales, technical scrutiny, and project delivery to ensure flawless execution from enquiry stage to project completion.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Client Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with account managers on on-site and client meetings across London and the South East
  • Serve as the internal technical reference for complex engineering enquiries
  • Scope, qualify, and convert bespoke fabrication and MEP system opportunities
  • Provide authoritative input on specification (MEP drawings, systems), programme management, and product selection
  • Build strong working relationships with M&E contractors in commercial, high-rise residential, and data centre projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
