Technical Sales Engineer (CNC)

£55,000-£60,000 + £5k Car Allowance + Early Friday Finish + Monday-Friday + Hybrid

Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Are you a Technical Sales Engineer or similar with a CNC/precision engineering background looking for an autonomous, client-facing role within a well-established and growing engineering business?

This company has been delivering high-quality precision engineering and CNC machining solutions to industries including aerospace, nuclear, and energy since the 1970s. With a strong reputation and multi-million-pound turnover, they continue to expand their client base and strengthen their position within the market.

In this role, you will act as a key technical link between the business and its customers, combining engineering knowledge with a consultative sales approach. You will work closely with clients to understand technical requirements and provide tailored CNC and precision engineering solutions that meet specification, cost, and lead time requirements.

You will spend 1-2 days per week in the office developing and refining sales strategies to grow existing accounts and win new business. The rest of your time will be client-facing, attending site visits, meeting customers, and developing relationships across both new and existing accounts. You will have full autonomy in how you generate business, whether through direct outreach, client visits, trade shows, or working alongside the marketing function. You will also report on KPIs and performance to the Head of Business and Sales.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Deliver sales strategies and report on KPIs to senior leadership
  • Conduct client visits, site meetings, and technical discussions

The person

  • Technical Sales Engineer or similar with a CNC background
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical drawings
  • Able to commute to Tewkesbury
