Technical Sales Engineer – Fire Suppression Systems (Remote, UK & Ireland)
Location: Fully remote position with local serviced office facilities and travel throughout the UK and Ireland
Salary: £40,000 per annum (£37,000 basic + £3,000 car allowance)
Salary After Probation: £42,000 per annum (including car allowance), plus company bonus scheme
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically 9:00am – 5:00pm

FirePro UK Ltd is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join its growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer support, training and business development. Working directly with the General Manager, you will help grow the FirePro brand throughout the UK and Ireland by supporting installers, consultants, distributors and end users.
Full product and industry training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within a specialist fire protection business.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide technical advice and troubleshooting remotely and on-site
- Support customers with system design and technical enquiries
- Prepare and update technical documentation and technical bulletins
- Liaise with the manufacturer's technical team in Cyprus
Customer Training & Product Support
- Deliver installer induction and refresher training
- Conduct CPD presentations and live product demonstrations
- Support distributors and Approved Ambassadors across the UK and Ireland
- Deliver product briefings and engineer training sessions

Sales & Business Development
- Build relationships with consultants, contractors, distributors and end users
- Prepare and process sales quotations
- Support business development and marketing initiatives
- Submit concise daily activity reports
Candidate Requirements
We're keen to hear from candidates with experience within electrical installation, fire detection, fire suppression, building services, controls, technical engineering, or related sectors.
This role may also suit candidates currently working as a Sales Engineer, Application Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer or Business Development Engineer within a relevant industry.
You will also have:
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent IT and computer skills
- Confident communication and presentation skills
- The ability to build strong customer relationships
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK, Ireland and occasionally overseas
- A full UK driving licence valid in the UK or Ireland
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Training & Development
Comprehensive training will be provided, including:
- FirePro technology and applications
- ISO 15779 standards
- BS EN 15276 standards
- LPS 1204 Issue 3.2 Competency Scheme
- Internal CRM and business systems
Salary & Benefits
- Starting salary of £40,000 per annum including £3,000 car allowance
- Salary increase to £42,000 following successful completion of probation
