TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER
The Position
Join a Business Where You Can Make a Real Difference
We're not looking for someone to simply fill a position—we're looking for someone who wants to build a career.
Are you a commercially savvy mechanical, production or manufacturing engineer? If so, we might have the job for you!
As our new Technical Sales Engineer, you'll become the trusted technical point of contact for our customers, managing quotations, processing orders, creating 3D designs and supporting projects from enquiry through to delivery. Your expertise will enable our Technical Sales Director to step away from the day-to-day operational workload and focus on driving the business forward.
That means your role won't just support the business—it will help shape its future.
As a small, family-run company, every person has the opportunity to make a genuine impact. Your contribution will be recognised, your ideas will be listened to, and you'll have the chance to develop into an increasingly influential role as the business continues to grow.
If you're looking for a role where your ideas matter, your work is appreciated and you can become a key driver in a growing business, we'd love to hear from you. We can’t promise you an interview but we can promise that we will at least do you the curtesy of a response.
The Company
We are a growing modular aluminium profile system company based in Nottinghamshire; a friendly family business with an excellent reputation.
AdaptTech Manufacturing Solutions (formerly mk Profile Systems) sells mechanical modules, components for profile, conveyor and linear technology, as well as factory equipment. We also work closely with and have the full support of mk head office in Germany, which is an established £80m turnover operation.
Our key target markets are largely factory automation companies and we provide numerous bespoke frames and guards, conveyors and conveyor systems. However, we work on a wide variety of projects, frequently including working alongside product designers. We have also been involved in providing sets for a number of high-profile films such as Jurassic World, The Martian and The Marvels.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
