About the Role
Our client, a market-leading manufacturer of specialist equipment serving the aviation, rail and industrial sectors, is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Engineer to drive sales growth across the North of England.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving business with ambitious growth plans, offering the chance to develop new business opportunities, manage major customer accounts, and deliver technical solutions to some of the UK’s largest engineering and infrastructure organisations.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly visible, customer-facing role, working independently while contributing to a growing project pipeline.
Role Overview
Permanent Position
- Location: Remote (covering Northern England)
- Hours: Monday to Friday
- Salary: Competitive salary + bonus + company car + fuel card

Responsibilities
- Develop and grow sales opportunities across the aviation, rail, and industrial sectors throughout the North of the UK
- Generate new business opportunities while managing and expanding key customer accounts
- Conduct regular customer visits, site surveys, and specification meetings, spending ~80% of time in the field
- Identify customer requirements and provide technical solutions using the company’s portfolio of specialist access and maintenance equipment
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, design, and production teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Proven experience in field-based business development, technical sales, or sales engineering
- Experience selling technical, engineered, or manufactured products to end-user customers
- Ability to discuss technical specifications and translate customer needs into practical solutions
