Reporting To: Senior Sales Executive
Experience Required: 2+ years in B2B technical, engineering, or scientific sales
About Quantemol
Quantemol Ltd develops advanced plasma simulation software used by researchers and industry worldwide. Our tools help scientists and engineers model plasma processes for critical applications, including semiconductor manufacturing, space technology, and materials processing.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated Associate Technical Sales Specialist to join our growing commercial team. This is a unique role that bridges the gap between complex science and commercial growth. You will focus on driving new business and actively managing customer success to maximize account retention. This is not a generic software sales job. You will collaborate directly with our internal team of PhD Scientists to translate complex technical data into valuable commercial opportunities, owning the process from initial outreach to account expansion.
What We Are Looking For (Mandatory)
- Sales Experience: 2+ years of proven B2B sales or account management experience, handling full sales cycles.
- STEM Foundation: A degree or strong educational/professional background in a STEM discipline (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering). An interest in plasma physics is a major bonus.
- Technical Translation: A proven ability to grasp complex, abstract scientific ideas and explain them simply to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration Skills: Experience working alongside highly technical teams, engineers, or academic researchers.
- Commercial Writing: Skill in drafting structured commercial proposals, quotes, or helping with technical tenders.
- Account Growth: A track record of securing account renewals and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Communication: Elite verbal and written communication skills suitable for high-level academic and industrial stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
