Escape Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a global engineering organisation to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to join its expanding commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a global manufacturer of highly engineered products, supplying customers across international markets. You'll take ownership of complex sales opportunities, build strategic customer relationships and play a key role in driving commercial growth.
This newly created position forms part of the company's continued investment in its commercial function, giving you the opportunity to influence business development strategy while working alongside engineering, project management and international sales teams.
The Role
Reporting to the Sales Director, you'll manage the full sales lifecycle, from identifying opportunities within existing accounts and developing new business through to preparing technical and commercial proposals, negotiating contracts and securing orders.
This is a consultative sales role focused on understanding customer challenges, developing tailored engineering solutions and managing complex sales campaigns with customers around the world.

The role is primarily office based to encourage close collaboration with the wider commercial and engineering teams, with hybrid flexibility available once established. International travel is expected, typically once or twice per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award.
- Prepare commercially and technically robust quotations and proposals.
- Build long term relationships with customers, OEMs, EPCs, distributors and international sales teams.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across existing and emerging markets.
- Manage long sales cycles and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM.
- Work closely with engineering, project management, purchasing and commercial teams to deliver customer focused solutions.
- Negotiate commercial agreements for high value engineered products and systems.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and international industry events.
- Gather market intelligence to identify new commercial opportunities and support future product development.
- Support regional sales teams with technical and commercial expertise.

About You
You'll be an experienced Technical Sales Manager or Sales Engineer with a successful background selling engineered products or technical solutions into industrial markets.
This is a hands on, operational sales role with genuine scope to progress into a Sales Leadership position as the business continues to grow.

You'll Bring
- A proven track record in technical, consultative B2B sales.
- Experience selling complex engineered products or systems.
- The ability to understand technical specifications and translate customer requirements into commercial solutions.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience managing lengthy sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to business development and identifying new opportunities.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
