Hartmann Young is partnering with a fast-growing specialist ingredients business focused on supplying high-quality functional ingredients and technical solutions to the food, beverage and sports nutrition industries.
Operating with the agility of an entrepreneurial business and the backing of an established international group, the company is rapidly expanding its portfolio across dairy proteins, performance ingredients and value-added ingredient systems. With continued investment in new product categories and technical innovation, the business is now looking to appoint a Technical Sales Manager to support its next phase of commercial growth across the UK and Europe.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, individual contributor role working closely with the Managing Director in a highly entrepreneurial environment. The focus will be on winning new business, developing strategic customer relationships and expanding market share across the UK and Europe within the food, beverage, sports nutrition and health ingredients sectors.

- You'll take ownership of a growing portfolio including dairy proteins, creatine and functional ingredient solutions
- Building long-term partnerships with manufacturers, brand owners and ingredient distributors
- Identifying new commercial opportunities across the market
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across the UK and Europe
- Develop and grow strategic relationships with manufacturers, brand owners and ingredient distributors
- Sell a portfolio of dairy proteins, performance ingredients and functional ingredient solutions
- Identify new commercial opportunities across food, beverage and sports nutrition markets
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline from prospect through to commercial supply
- Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing with customers
- Work closely with international supply partners to identify new product opportunities
- Represent the business at customer meetings and major industry exhibitions

Ideal Profile
- 3–6 years' B2B sales experience within food ingredients, sports nutrition or functional ingredients
- Experience selling dairy proteins preferred, although plant proteins, collagen or similar ingredient backgrounds will also be considered
- Strong commercial mindset with experience developing new business and managing customer relationships
- Existing network across ingredient manufacturers, distributors or food and beverage producers
- Self-starter who enjoys autonomy and thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills
- Comfortable travelling across the UK and Europe as required
- Entrepreneurial, ambitious and motivated by building a successful ingredients business
