Regional Technical Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
Location: Covering Midlands
Finlay Jude Associates are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer within the passive fire protection and construction materials sector to recruit an ambitious Regional Technical Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to cover the Midlands.
This is a high-impact, field-based sales role focused on driving specification-led and project-based business across the construction supply chain, including architects, specifiers, developers, main contractors, and specialist sub-contractors

The Role
Working closely with the client’s Specification and Commercial teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for securing and protecting specifications, tracking and pricing projects, and developing strong, long-term commercial relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain regular face-to-face contact with key existing and prospective commercial customers Manage relationships with sub-contractors and key distribution partners to secure projects through specification-led and discretionary sales Identify new market opportunities and provide detailed market intelligence feedback Deliver CPD presentations to architects, consultants, and contractors Maintain accurate CRM records including project tracking, customer interactions, and activity reporting Deliver product demonstrations and training to contractors on correct product use and system application Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the client’s product portfolio Provide technical advice and support to customers on product applications and fire safety solutions

Skills & Attributes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail Confident communicator with strong presentation, written, and verbal skills Ability to manage multiple long-term projects with extended sales cycles Comfortable using CRM systems and industry tools such as HubSpot and Barbour Collaborative approach with the ability to work cross-functionally
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ proven B2B sales experience in a similar role Background within construction materials supply is essential Experience in passive fire protection is desirable but not essential Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM platforms Ability to read CAD drawings, technical schematics, and specifications is advantageous
