Technical Sales Manager

About the Role
A rare opportunity exists to join the UK division of a multi-million-pound insulation manufacturer, offering:
- Competitive salary: GBP 60,000 – GBP 70,000

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the UK Managing Director, the Sales Manager will:
- Develop and grow sales through national, regional, and independent distributors across the UK manufacturing division of extruded insulation.
- Maintain and strengthen distributor and merchant relationships.
- Deliver product training, technical support, and sales enablement.
- Collaborate with partners on pricing, margins, promotions, and stock profiles.
- Drive product awareness and pull through demand.
- Promote the wider group portfolio, including HVAC and Marine Products.
- Monitor performance, market feedback, and competitor activity.
- Provide forecasting and sales reporting.
- Build and maintain an effective network of contacts at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Identify and analyse new emerging markets within the insulation, HVAC, and building services sector.
- Maintain regular customer contact to optimise sales potential and retain existing accounts.

Person Specification
Ideal candidate must have:
- Proven track record of success selling in insulation, HVAC, or building services, preferably with experience in distributor/merchant management.
- UK-wide territory management experience.
- Excellent account management skills.
- A self-driven, results-oriented mindset with a positive outlook, clear focus on quality and business profit.
- Ambition, credibility, and confidence in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Tolerance, determination, empathy, and business presentability. “Reliable, dependable and able to communicate effectively”
