The Technical Sales Representative is a full-time role based primarily in the East Midlands with opportunities extending outside of this core region into the West Midlands and south to London. This role involves:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Managing existing customer accounts
  • Promoting motor repair, maintenance, and new equipment supply services to industrial and manufacturing clients

The Technical Sales Representative will:

  • Conduct site visits
  • Assess customer requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of quotations
  • Present technical solutions that reduce downtime and improve efficiency
  • Provide product and service training to customers where needed
  • Attend industry events
  • Contribute to sales forecasts and reporting

Qualifications

  • Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with experience selling engineering, industrial, or maintenance-related services or products.
  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Background in electrical or mechanical engineering, motor/gearbox/pump technologies, or industrial maintenance is highly beneficial.
  • Proven track record in B2B account management, lead generation, and meeting sales targets.
  • Comfortable working on-site in industrial environments and conducting regular customer visits across the region.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow through from enquiry to order.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer locations.
  • Relevant technical or engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or degree) is an advantage but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
