The Technical Sales Representative is a full-time role based primarily in the East Midlands with opportunities extending outside of this core region into the West Midlands and south to London. This role involves:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Managing existing customer accounts
- Promoting motor repair, maintenance, and new equipment supply services to industrial and manufacturing clients
The Technical Sales Representative will:
- Conduct site visits
- Assess customer requirements
- Assist in the preparation of quotations
- Present technical solutions that reduce downtime and improve efficiency
- Provide product and service training to customers where needed
- Attend industry events
- Contribute to sales forecasts and reporting
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with experience selling engineering, industrial, or maintenance-related services or products.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Background in electrical or mechanical engineering, motor/gearbox/pump technologies, or industrial maintenance is highly beneficial.
- Proven track record in B2B account management, lead generation, and meeting sales targets.
- Comfortable working on-site in industrial environments and conducting regular customer visits across the region.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow through from enquiry to order.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer locations.
- Relevant technical or engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or degree) is an advantage but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
