Introduction
Elementar UK, part of the Elementar Group, is responsible for the sales and support of the expanding range of Elemental Analysers and related instruments in the UK as well as being an award-winning manufacturer of Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer (IRMS) systems covering a diverse and exciting range of applications.
We research and develop for basic human needs: Our devices ensure quality of life and are used when it comes to water, food, education, health, the environment, climate, energy or product quality.
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Technical Sales Specialist to generate sustainable and profitable growth for Elementar products and services. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the growth of Elementar's innovative solutions across Ireland and Northern Ireland, taking ownership of a high-potential territory and building lasting customer partnerships.
This is a remote-based role for someone passionate about scientific instrumentation, value-led selling, and developing long-term customer relationships in a technical, solution-focused environment. You will play a key role in expanding our presence by combining strong commercial acumen with a genuine curiosity for scientific and industrial applications.
You’ll work closely with our team in Greater Manchester, where our facilities support the assembly and testing, and house a dedicated Application lab and full R&D team, providing the expertise and resources needed to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will take full ownership of the sales cycle - from prospecting through to closing business and nurturing long-term customer relationships. You will actively develop new sales opportunities by understanding customer needs and applying our technologies to deliver value-driven solutions.

A key part of your role will be presenting both technical and commercial arguments with clarity and confidence, demonstrating how our products and services solve real-world challenges.
You will develop and execute a local business plan in partnership with the Sales Manager, ensuring alignment with growth targets and market opportunities. You'll use market insights and industry trends to identify opportunities, shape local strategy and drive continued growth across your territory, while maintaining accurate sales reporting and forecasting.
Working closely with local service and support teams & the application lab, you will deliver an outstanding customer experience from product demonstration through to after-sales support, while contributing to wider UK sales initiatives when required.
Experience, Essential Skills And Person
We are looking for someone with a degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience) and at least 5 years’ experience in scientific instrumentation sales or a strong background in technical commercial environments. Experience working with CRM systems such as SAP would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate have a proven track record of winning new business through value-led selling and the ability to identify and convert opportunities within a technical sales environment. You will thrive in an autonomous role, balancing strategic territory development with effective pipeline management to consistently deliver results.
You will possess strong communication skills and be equally comfortable engaging with scientific specialists and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into meaningful customer value. You should be confident in negotiation, resilient in the face of challenges, and committed to delivering excellent customer experiences. A collaborative mindset, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key to success in this role.

This role requires residence in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, with willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) across the island, alongside monthly visits to our Manchester production site and occasional overseas travel.
