Timac Agro UK’s crop nutritionists work closely with agricultural distribution partners to support farmers in improving performance and maximizing outputs.
Role Description
The Technical Sales Specialist is a full-time, field-based role focused in Shropshire. This position is responsible for promoting Timac Agro UK’s fertiliser and crop nutrition solutions to farmers and agricultural distributors, providing technical product knowledge and practical recommendations. - Visiting farms and agribusinesses
- Identifying customer needs
- Delivering technical presentations
- Advising on product application to improve yield and efficiency
The role also involves:
- Managing sales pipelines
- Preparing quotations
- Following up on leads
- Maintaining long-term customer relationships
The Technical Sales Specialist collaborates with crop nutritionists, marketing, and technical support teams to ensure customers receive accurate information, training, and after-sales service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should be based locally within the Shropshire region and be comfortable working in a field-based role (5 days per week).
- Candidates should have experience in agricultural or agronomy-related products and be passionate about sustainable agriculture and innovation.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and strong relationship-building skills.
- Candidates should be comfortable working independently, prospecting for new clients, and generating qualified leads.
- Candidates should possess solid customer service skills, demonstrating responsiveness, reliability, and a customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills are a must.
- FACTS qualified would be a benefit or willingness to work towards this qualification over time.
- A valid UK driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the region are required.
