Make an Impact in our Audit Technical Team at RSM UK
Our National Audit Technical Services (NATS) is responsible for maintaining and driving technical quality of the audit firm's operational procedures, providing technical support to partners and staff on technical accounting and financial reporting matters, and conducting quality control reviews.
We are expanding our financial reporting technical team to meet planned growth in our audit practice. The role will involve providing technical accounting support, ensure quality is maintained, identify efficiencies in working practices and lead on implementing financial reporting changes as they are published in the future, so this is an exciting time to join the team as a Technical Senior Manager and be part of our journey!
This role can be based out of any of our UK offices, but some travel will be expected between offices.

You'll Make An Impact By
- Assisting with financial and narrative reporting consultations submitted to the firm’s service desk
- Drafting corporate reporting internal technical communications and guidance
- Being a point of contact for informal technical queries from client-facing Partners and staff in your local region but also supporting other offices nationwide
- Acting as a financial reporting specialist on complex audits, providing audit teams with targeted expertise on the subject matter to support high audit quality
What We Are Looking For
As we expand our audit offering, we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with recent experience in asset management and / or capital markets (either in practice or in industry) and who have recent experience of CASS and Financial Reporting in these areas.
Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
- ACA / ACCA qualified - or equivalent
- Experience of working as Senior Manager or equivalent within a technical team would be preferred; however, candidates with experience working closely with such teams would also be considered
- Strong IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting knowledge
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience of using IFRS 9 in practice would be beneficial
