Technical SEO Specialist - Global Consumer Retail Business
Location: Hybrid - London (3 days WFH / 1 anchor day in office)
Salary: Up to £52,000 + performance bonus
A leading international consumer retail business is looking for a Technical SEO Specialist to join its growing digital team and help drive organic search performance across multiple markets.
Operating across a portfolio of well-known retail brands, this is an exciting opportunity to work on high-traffic websites, influence SEO strategy, and deliver measurable improvements across a global digital estate.
The Role
You'll operate as an internal SEO consultancy, partnering with different business units to identify opportunities, improve search visibility, and deliver impactful optimisation across technical, content and on-page SEO.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing data-led SEO strategies across multiple markets
- Leading technical and content SEO audits
- Identifying opportunities to improve organic performance
- Working closely with developers, UX, design, content and eCommerce teams to implement improvements
- Analysing performance data and translating insights into actionable recommendations
- Supporting both strategic planning and hands-on implementation where required
- Helping shape the future search roadmap, including emerging areas such as AI search/GEO

About You
We're looking for an SEO specialist who can combine strong technical capability with excellent stakeholder communication.
You'll ideally have:
- 2-6 years' experience in SEO (agency experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of technical, on-page and content SEO
- Experience running SEO audits and supporting implementation
- Confidence using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush or similar
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect SEO activity to business impact
- Experience working cross-functionally with developers and non-technical stakeholders
- JavaScript knowledge is highly desirable, but not essential. Experience with GEO/AI search would be a bonus.
