Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Hands-on mindset – No frontloading 100% of effort into strategy; expect to:
    • Roll up the sleeves and implement fixes (no "I’ll recommend it but not build it")
    • Log into WordPress/Elementor with confidence
    • Work with Google Search Console/GA4 as a daily tool
    • Prove improvement by output, not just access to tools
  • Proven B2B/consulting experience:
    • Working with cyber security, compliance, AI governance, SaaS, or technology websites preferred
    • Experience in industries like professional services, tech consultancy, or risk management
  • Partial or full ownership of execution:
    • Prioritise shipping fixes and tuning performance vs. waiting for buy-in
    • Operate autonomously — minimal oversight required

High-Value Skills

  • Technical SEO: Site audits → report fixes (e.g., robots.txt tweaks, redirect chains resolved)
  • WordPress/ Elementor proficiency: Experiments in page layouts, $vendessä UX tweaks
  • Schema mastery: Actual implementations (e.g., [Service/AI Schema schema.org/jsonld])
  • GA4/Search Console optimisation: Tracking roadmaps, event tracking setup, performance analysis
  • Page speed/cor entrepreneurial Legacy: Tools like WebPageTest, Pagespeed Insights, and Lighthouse audits
  • CRO and copywriting: A/B test experimentation or campaigns (e.g., CTA button changes increasing leads by 20%)
  • CRM/form growth: Manifests as Salesforce, HubSpot, or custom LMS integrations for lead scoring

Soft Skills

  • Clear, bold editorial voice: Can destroy generic content and rewrite it without overdoing
  • Attention to detail: Spots superfluous or misaligned internal links, typos in metadata
  • Taste for UX: Judges page readability/spacing (e.g., Avoids wall-of-text in service proposals)
  • Curiosity: Dives into technical documentation to influence site improvements
  • Courage: Removes churn, unclear pathways and advocates for simpler designs

Red Flags

This role is not for: ❌ Applicants whose primary expertise is in SEO social media / community management (not execution-driven technical SEO) ❌ Those who hand off fixes by default ("Developer needed!") ❌ Generating generic lists or over-relying on AI-first drafting ❌ Promising quick rankings through spins and shady shortcuts (instead, demonstrate cor abmarks shown on evolution SEO strategy progeny) ❌ Expecting a full-time developer to babysit small edits
