Job Summary

The Technical Service Engineer provides customers with expert technical support and product knowledge. Working closely with the Sales Engineers, the role advises customers on product applications, resolves technical issues, conducts routine testing visits and supports the management of existing opportunities. The role is the first addition in a growing team as the UK product line expands. The role does require a large degree of independent work.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to our Sales Engineers and Customers.
  • Provides technical training at customers.
  • Visits clients and prospects together with the Sales Engineers.
  • Identifies new growth opportunities in the business area and provides the technical support to acquire these.
  • Initiates and supports new product launches.
  • Gives feedback on product performance to Headquarters and has an important role in the development of new products.
  • Takes a leading role in “Technical” driven activities.
  • Interprets and communicates laboratory results.

Knowledge and Education

  • You have a sound education in chemistry or a technical background in fluid management with ideally at least 1-3 years of relevant experience in the metalworking industry
  • Have experience within a customer facing role and be able to communicate to all levels of personnel from shop floor to senior management;
  • You have a can-do mentality and strong analytical skills to make quick decisions and understand consequences;
  • You can work well independently and are highly communicative;
  • Fluent in English
  • The area this position will cover is the whole of the UK mainland

Additional Notes

  • Competitive salary and commission schemes.
  • Company van, smartphone and laptop computer are provided.
  • Position will be based in designated area.
  • Very Frequent travel inside the country (sales area) is required including regular overnight stays.
  • Incidental traveling across Europe could be required.
