About the Role

A rare opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to step into a customer-facing, solution-led technical services role. You will join a globally recognised, premium engineering solutions provider operating across high-spec, safety-critical industries.

You’ll be positioned at the heart of the customer journey, working on technically interesting applications and directly influencing the solutions delivered. You will act as the first point of contact for technical enquiries, taking ownership of incoming customer requirements - from initial triage and technical assessment through to solution definition and quotation. The focus is on quality of engagement, technical accuracy, and providing consultative, solution-led support across a varied and complex product range.

Must Haves

  • Mechanical engineering qualification/background (HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent or degree level) - There will be a technical aptitude test as part of the interview process so a Mechanical Engineering based qualification is a must
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and how systems operate
  • Technically curious, with a structured approach to technical problem solving
  • Confident communicator, able to translate technical detail into clear solutions
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness or interest in developing in this area

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
