The Role
Our new Technical Services Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance within a fast-paced FMCG pork processing environment. Working closely with operational, technical, and product development teams, you will ensure site systems remain robust, compliant, and focused on continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical professional to influence quality performance, support customer requirements, and drive best practice across a highly regulated food manufacturing operation.
Your Key Responsibilities
The Technical Services Manager will be responsible for ensuring technical compliance, quality system effectiveness, and continuous improvement across the site, including:
- Managing the Technical Administration function, ensuring procedures and policies remain aligned with company, customer, and accreditation requirements.
- Promoting transparent, values-led, and professional management practices across the department.
- Overseeing site quality systems alongside the Technical Team to maintain compliance with internal standards, customer expectations, and external accreditations.
- Working closely with the NPD team to ensure product and specification information is accurate and up to date within site databases.
- Managing technical KPI reporting processes and identifying trends to drive performance improvements.
- Supporting HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP programmes, ensuring documentation remains current and effective.
- Driving effective root cause analysis and preventative actions following non-conformances.
- Coordinating microbiological, chemical, and nutritional testing programmes, analysing results and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Managing customer complaint processes in partnership with Technical Administrators and operational teams to ensure timely resolution and continuous learning.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced technical professional who thrives in a quality-focused food manufacturing environment and enjoys working collaboratively to achieve high standards.
You Will Be
- Experienced in a similar Technical Services, Technical Manager, or Quality role within FMCG manufacturing.
- Knowledgeable in food safety, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- A confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proactive in identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.
- Skilled at analysing data, identifying trends, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Able to build positive working relationships across technical, operational, and commercial teams.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
