Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Services Manager to join our flagship Shell Centre account in London.
This is a rare opportunity to lead technical services across one of the UK's most recognised corporate headquarters, shaping engineering strategy, asset optimisation and innovation within a complex, high-profile environment where resilience, business continuity and technical excellence are paramount.
Reporting to the Account Manager, you will provide strategic leadership across technical services, influence senior client stakeholders and play a key role in driving reliability, sustainability and engineering excellence.
This is far more than an operational engineering role. It is an opportunity to influence the future direction of technical services, shape long-term asset strategy and create a lasting impact within one of Sodexo's most prestigious Corporate Services partnerships.

What You'll Be Doing
As Technical Services Manager, you will:
- Lead the delivery of all hard FM and engineering services across the Shell Centre estate.
- Provide strategic leadership across planned, reactive and project-related activities.
- Drive technical compliance, governance and statutory obligations.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams and specialist functions.
- Shape long-term asset management and lifecycle strategies.
- Influence capital planning and investment decisions.
- Drive engineering optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement digital technologies, predictive maintenance and data-led maintenance strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and key decision makers.
- Champion innovation and create a high-performing engineering culture.
- Work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors and delivery partners to minimise business disruption and deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Ensure all technical services are delivered safely, compliantly and cost-effectively.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an exceptional engineering leader who combines technical expertise, commercial acumen and strategic thinking. You will bring:
- A recognised Engineering qualification and professional engineering background.
- Significant experience leading technical services within complex, critical or high-profile environments.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, engineering governance and technical risk management.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing specialist subcontractors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Commercial awareness, including budget management and contract performance.
- Experience developing asset management and reliability strategies.
- A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and engineering excellence.
- The ability to lead change and embed new ways of working.

Professional accreditation such as CEng, IEng, MIET, MCIBSE or equivalent would be advantageous.
Experience gained within one or more of the following environments would be highly desirable:
- Corporate headquarters
- Energy and utilities
- Critical environments and data centres
- Banking and financial services
- Pharmaceutical or laboratory environments
- Large outsourced FM contracts with complex stakeholder relationships
