Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Technical Skills Coach Plumbing & Gas to join our Apprenticeship Department at the Slough & Langley College campus on a full time, permanent basis. The role pays from L34 £41,096 up to L37 £44,165.00 dependent on experience and qualifications.

Technical Skills Coach in Plumbing and Gas

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to support and mentor a caseload of Plumbing and Gas apprentices across our Slough and Langley campus. In this rewarding role, you will coach learners to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours, helping them succeed in the workplace and achieve their end point assessments.

You will work closely with both apprentices and employers, carrying out regular progress reviews and using digital tools such as e portfolios and Microsoft Teams to track development and ensure compliance with funding and audit requirements.

Ideally, you will hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating, along with Gas qualifications (CCN1 and CENWAT) and an Assessor Award (CAVA/A1) or be willing to work towards one. Experience supporting apprentices in a training or education environment is highly valued, and a teaching qualification or background in curriculum delivery would be a distinct advantage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
