As a hands-on technical solution architect within the Anti-Financial Crime department, you will join the existing architecture team and will be responsible for designing, documenting, and governing the architecture of across critical applications that are used to detect and investigate potential instances of criminal activity whilst supporting the application engineering teams with the implementation.
You will have a strong engineering background and is expected to contribute to engineering deliverables, prototyping, data-modelling and driving engineering alignment to designs through direct collaboration with development teams, ensuring code quality and actively uplifting quality standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Developing and owning technical designs that align with Group Architecture principles and support the department’s technology transformation
- Tracking and managing design updates, resolving unforeseen engineering obstacles effectively
- Shaping the technology roadmap by evaluating emerging tools and established techniques, balancing cost, complexity, and performance
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders across Business, Model Development, and Technology management to refine requirements and deliver robust solutions
- Providing technical contribution through hands-on work and mentoring activity: contributing high-quality code, data-modelling, perform code reviews, guide implementation teams and guide engineering best practices
- Driving efficiency across architecture activities through adoption of AI solutions.
Your Skills And Experience
- Experience and track record as a Solution Architect and/or Development Lead in complex, regulated enterprise environments
- Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, containerization using Docker & Kubernetes and security (e.g., OAuth) and the ability to build up knowledge related to new technology / solutions in an effective and timely manner
- Experience with database technologies (Oracle, Postgres or SQL Server) and data modelling
- Ability to design and communicate architecture concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to spot areas of improvement and offering solutions
