CGI is looking for a Solution Architect, with experience of working in the Space Domain Awareness domain, to specify and assess future capability offerings for the BOREALIS system.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to apply for it. This position will be a hybrid role, working from our site in Leatherhead.
Key Responsibilities
Working alongside (but distinct from) the agile development teams, this role spans all aspects of the project. The successful applicant will:
- Work with the client to confirm functional needs
- Investigate and evaluate potential solutions to meet those needs
- Lead the integration of the capability into the Borealis system
- Assess the resulting performance in a representative operational environment
Key Duties
- Communicate with clients to define requirements
- Research and assess candidate solutions
- Develop the integration architecture with Borealis
- Liaise with suppliers and across the Borealis team
- Present results to all stakeholders
Required Qualifications & Competencies

- Degree, Master’s, or PhD in [Astro]Physics or a related field
- Proven experience in Space Domain Awareness
- Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels

- Knowledge of space dynamics, Space Domain Awareness concepts and challenges
- Expertise in ground and space-based observation
- Systems thinking and design principles
- Awareness of software architectures and development methodologies
