The role

The Technical Solutions Executive is the hands-on support to the Technical Director across the account's marketing-services scope, and the day-to-day technical point of contact for the account’s tools and workflows. Working under the Director’s direction, the role combines practical delivery support, coordination and briefing administration with a first-line client technical-support function — logging, triaging and resolving everyday questions and issues from the marketing-services teams and client end users, and escalating anything beyond first line. Given its complexity, media takes roughly half of the role’s focus.

Where the Technical Director owns the standards, design direction and governance, this role helps get the work done on the ground and keeps the end user supported. It suits someone early in their technical / operations career who is well organised, service-minded and keen to learn the account’s tooling in depth.

Key responsibilities

Technical delivery & coordination

  • Delivery support: Assist the Technical Director in delivering workflows, tooling rollouts and solution changes across all marketing-services disciplines.
  • Coordination: Help keep workstreams aligned across the marketing-services teams — Choreograph development, services and enablement, WPP Open and VML — tracking actions and flagging dependencies and slippage.
  • Media · Dashboarding & rollout support: Help coordinate the rollout of media dashboards and the supporting toolset (e.g. Veritas) with VML and the enablement team, keeping tasks on track.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Briefing administration

  • Cross-discipline briefs: Help log and track briefs across the marketing-services disciplines, making sure each reflects client demand and moves through to delivery.
  • Media · Brief administration: Administer briefs into Choreograph product development and services, keeping them updated and tracked through to delivery.
  • Media · Feedback cycles: Collect and collate product feedback and input from global and local teams across Choreograph development cycles, passing it to the Technical Director and product teams.

Client technical support (Q&A / troubleshooting)

  • First-line support: Act as the first-line technical support contact across the marketing-services disciplines — receiving, triaging and logging questions and issues from the teams and client end users on tools and workflows.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve straightforward tooling and workflow issues; escalate anything complex or systemic to the Technical Director or relevant product team with clear context.
  • Knowledge & enablement: Keep how-to guidance and FAQs up to date so recurring questions are deflected and end users can self-serve where possible.
  • Media · Support load: Expect the majority of support volume to come from media, given its complexity and tooling depth; prioritise accordingly.

Tooling discipline & documentation

  • Tooling monitoring: Run the day-to-day monitoring that keeps the marketing-services teams on the global toolset — flagging localised, unsanctioned shadow dashboards and escalating to the Technical Director for enforcement.
  • Documentation support: Help draft and maintain the KPI definitions and reporting-standards documentation under the Technical Director’s direction, so all disciplines have a clear reference to follow.

Key skills & experience

  • Early technical / operations experience: Some experience in a martech / ad-tech, operations or analytics support role; a strong appetite to develop technical depth on a complex, multi-market account.
  • Client-facing manner: A service mindset and the ability to explain technical issues in plain language and stay calm under time pressure.
  • Organisation & coordination: Highly organised, with the ability to track many moving parts and keep accurate notes, actions and brief logs.
  • Tooling aptitude: Comfortable learning new platforms quickly (e.g. Choreograph, WPP Open) and alert to off-platform workarounds.
  • Clear writer: Able to write clear, accurate guidance and help maintain reference material.
