Technical Support & Calibration Technician (Office-Based)

About The Role

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Technical Support & Calibration Technician to join our team at our offices in Baynards Green, near Bicester. This is an office-based role supporting customers and carrying out calibration and testing of equipment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our products and services meet quality and compliance standards while providing friendly, effective technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone and email
  • Perform calibration, testing, and basic fault-finding on equipment in line with company procedures
  • Maintain accurate calibration records, certificates, and documentation
  • Book in/out equipment and manage job tracking through internal systems
  • Prepare equipment for return to customers (labelling, packaging, documentation)
  • Assist with stock control, parts management, and basic workshop organisation
  • Support quality processes and compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO 13485 / ISO 17025, if applicable)
  • Liaise with engineers, sales, and admin teams to resolve customer queries
  • Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a tidy working environment

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Basic technical aptitude (electronics, mechanical, or instrumentation experience is a plus)
  • Confident using computers and MS Office/Excel
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
