We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to join Cura Terrae Air. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines technical troubleshooting, customer support, and service coordination, helping to ensure the reliability and performance of air quality monitoring systems across the UK.
As a key member of our support team, you will provide remote technical assistance to customers, diagnose equipment and communications faults, configure monitoring systems, and coordinate field service activities to deliver excellent customer service.
About the Role
This is a varied technical support role involving remote troubleshooting of air quality monitoring equipment, system configuration, and the coordination of planned and reactive service activities. You will work closely with customers, field engineers, and internal teams to deliver effective support and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers by telephone and email.
- Diagnose equipment, software, communications, and data issues using remote tools and engineering knowledge.
- Configure data loggers, monitoring software, and associated systems.
- Coordinate planned maintenance visits and reactive service callouts.
- Prioritise support requests to meet customer expectations and service targets.
- Escalate unresolved issues and arrange engineer attendance when required.
- Maintain accurate service records, schedules, and customer communications.
- Liaise with customers, engineers, and internal teams to support service activities.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual with strong technical, customer service, and problem-solving skills who can work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
Key Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and remote support tools.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Self-motivated, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Technical qualification or experience in engineering, electronics, or instrumentation.
- Knowledge of monitoring equipment, data loggers, or communications systems.
- Understanding of air quality or environmental monitoring equipment.
- Awareness of networking, telemetry, or remote communications.
- Experience supporting technical equipment, service activities, or engineer scheduling.
