Job Description: Technical Support Engineer
About the Role
Dataiku is the Platform for AI Success, providing the enterprise orchestration layer for designing, building, deploying, and governing AI. Our mission: enable secure, transparent, and scalable AI across multi-vendor environments.
The **global Technical Support Team is remote-first and focused on empowering customers to resolve technical challenges with Data Science Studio (DSS), our Everyday AI Platform. We scale rapidly, operating across 10+ countries and 3 continents to build an enterprise-grade support function.
This role contributes directly to scaling up a fast-paced, collaborative, yet technically complex support environment where you’ll leverage expertise to drive customer success.
Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll:
- Deliver solutions for EMEA and global customers across technical domains, including:
- Installation and deployment
- Security configurations
- Integration with cloud platforms, big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), and databases
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and R&D, including:
- Escalating complex issues to appropriate specialists
- Translating engineer feedback and customer pain points into product improvements
- Communicating efficiently via email, chat, and in-person (virtual/onsite)
- Document technical expertise via:
- Creating internal/social knowledge articles
- Contributing to shared forums
- Sharing practical troubleshooting steps internally
- Support varied channels, including retention/onboarding sessions
- Pivot when needed as a start-up-adjacent culture values flexibility
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in client-facing technical support (e.g., software, product design or engineering)
- Familiarity with:
- Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Unix/Linux operations
- SQL, RDBMs, or data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, PostgreSQL)
- Scripting in Python or R
- Log analysis and error reproduction
