Specific Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Manage internal/external customer queries via phone/written communication. Own technical issues until resolution, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Field Service Bulletins: Oversee servicing bulletins/logs, distributing updates to global field staff and tracking progress on modifications/upgrades.
- Documentation: Create/update SMOW and WI documents, updating/reviewing them bi-annually.
- Training: Organize and deliver technical training schedules/courses for new and junior technicians.
- Sales Support: Assist sales teams with quotations and tendon responses by providing technical expertise.
- Manuals: Maintain accuracy and accessibility of all technical manuals and documentation.
- Supplier Liaison: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure technical information is available as needed.
- Administrative Duties: Handle internal paperwork and administrative documents timely and accurately.
- Technical Validation: "Sign off" company-delegated documents/drawings (e.g., engineering reports, risk assessments).
- Fault Resolution: Assist with 1st-line troubleshooting, attempt phone-based resolutions, and coordinate field service visits as required.
- Apprenticeship Oversight: Plan and manage apprenticeship recruitment, selection, and ongoing support through program completion.
- Department Operations: Contribute to day-to-day management of departmental workflow.

- Reports To: Director, Operations - UP

- Liaise with colleagues across associates to resolve technical questions throughout the product lifecycle.

External Business Relationships
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, contractors, and certifying bodies to share and resolve product lifecycle inquiries.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Qualifications:
- HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- 18th Edition BS7671 certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical field service, specializing in UPS industries.
- Experience preferred: Training/mentoring others.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal/written communication internally/externally
- Proven problem-solving and multi-tasking ability
- Proactive, initiative-driven, adaptable under pressure
