Join our dynamic team as a Technical Support Engineer in Lincoln, where you will play a vital role in supporting our Industrial Turbomachinery business. You will engage in complex troubleshooting activities, providing innovative solutions for our fleet of gas turbines installed worldwide. Your responsibilities will include manning the Technical Support Helpdesk and traveling for on-site support as needed. With a focus on collaboration, you will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining in-depth knowledge of gas turbine control systems and operations. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and advance your career in a supportive environment.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Provide first-line support to the Field Service team during unscheduled shutdowns, ensuring timely technical workscopes are delivered.
  • Troubleshoot core, package, and mechanical issues, implementing approved design changes and modifications as necessary.
  • Offer 24-hour support functionality via the out-of-hours support hotline when required, ensuring our customers receive the assistance they need.
  • Collaborate with the Service Engineering department to optimize installation, repair, commissioning, and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain a knowledge database with technical solutions and equipment details, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.

What You Bring

  • You hold a degree in an engineering discipline or possess equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in engine systems.
  • A highly motivated individual, you demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills, confidently communicating with diverse stakeholders and providing leadership support.
  • Your experience includes diagnosing complex engineering problems and implementing corrective actions effectively.
  • Familiarity with gas turbine control systems, including ladder logic code, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products will be advantageous.
