Summary
Reporting to the EMEA Engineering Manager, the appointed candidate will join SOLiD Telecommunications in a technical support and engineering role. This role will focus on delivering world-class technical customer support, product configuration, system deployment, fault diagnosis, and training across the SOLiD Technologies portfolio.
The successful candidate would ideally be bilingual in English and French. The candidate will support customers and strategic partners with technical enquiries, initially under the guidance of experienced engineering colleagues, with the expectation that their responsibilities and technical ownership will quickly develop as their knowledge and confidence increase.
The candidate will be expected to work mainly in an office environment but will occasionally be asked to work from a customer location in a technical support capacity. This may involve travel within the United Kingdom, Ireland, and mainland Europe. Travel to the Middle East and Africa may be required, with proportionate notice and justification.
The successful candidate should have a keen interest in telecommunications, radio-frequency (RF) engineering, and mobile network technologies. Prior, cemented understanding of RF principles, mobile telephony, radio access technologies, distributed antenna networks, structured cabling, optical fibre, antenna design, and public safety systems is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to apply engineering principles in a customer-facing environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
