Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and reliable individual to join our Technical team and support the continued growth of the Flexicon business. You will be required to support both internal teams external customers with technical support and application advice. You will play a key role in product development and customer specials with emphasis on innovation and automation.

What you’ll do:

Provide technical support and application advice to our sales team and customers. Training & development of products and applications to our sales team and customers. Evaluation of viability of project opportunity including payback period, resource and capital requirements. Participation in the design, development & trialling of new products Involvement in attaining and maintaining standards/approvals for new and existing products. Involvement in product life cycle management, e.g. catalogue, datasheets in collaboration with Product Manager Introduction of new products and/or services, in collaboration with Product Manager Support the quality department with product investigations/validations Product data management in our ERP and product management systems. (BOMs/Routings etc) Occasional domestic travel to suppliers and/or Customer sites may be required from time to time, sometimes involving staying overnight – for which adequate notice will be given.

What you bring:

Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation Experience providing technical support and application advice to internal and external customers Proven ability to develop, maintain and influence relationships with key stakeholders Understanding of ERP/MRP systems Experience providing training and development of products/ applications Experience in Project Management Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions Bachelor's degree or equivalent within Engineering, NVQ in Design, or a related field Desirable: Dealing with external test labs and approval bodies Desirable: Experience with flexible conduit for electrical applications 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within OEM . Product and Industry knowledge with OEM’s essential. Commercial experience with proven ability to increase sales in key accounts and industrial markets Experience of working in industrial manufacturing is essential

Hours of work:

Working 37 hours per week:

Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm & Friday 8:30am - 4pm

Salary:

Depending on experience
