About the Role
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a leading biotech company with branches in Cambridge (UK), Houston (US), and Zoetermeer (NL), providing products and services globally.
We are looking for a tenacious, competent, and organized individual to join our high-paced, dynamic Technical Support team in Bar Hill. You will be primarily responsible for providing support to customers as well as supporting order fulfillment. This role is office-based with some time spent in the dry laboratory. This will be a growing and evolving role with exciting prospects for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Providing scientific technical support and supporting customers via email and phone with any queries
- Resolving complaints by proposing solutions which ensure customer’s satisfaction
- Troubleshooting customer applications (such as WB, IHC, ELISA, etc)
- Liaising promptly with colleagues worldwide to ensure smooth service
- Assisting with final product preparation and documentation
- Visual quality control of products and packaging
- Supporting the laboratory and technical support teams
- Reviewing customer feedback and suggesting relevant improvements
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing current preparation and quality assurance processes and improving/optimizing them where appropriate
- Identifying and suggesting automation and/or improvements for front and back-end processes, workflow, and functionality

Requirements
Essential:
- Life sciences degree (BSc, MRes, MSc, PhD) or equivalent experience
- Attention to detail
- Fluent in English
- 2-5 years Laboratory experience (ELISA, WB, IHC, and/or other similar immunological techniques)
Advantageous
- Ability to explain things logically and clearly
- Experience in development, manufacturing, quality control/assurance, customer support, or troubleshooting
- Experience with working lab protocols such as lab book-keeping and management
Training will be provided. You will be organized, decisive, efficient, and practical. You will have an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, have common sense, good communication skills, and a good memory. You will be passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience. This role is 100% office-based. The office is a large open-plan, newly refurbished modern space.

This is a full-time, permanent position. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (one hour lunch).
