Technical Support Specialist

Customer Care Technical Support Specialist

The Customer Care Technical Support Specialist provides front-line, non-clinical support primarily to end users, enabling them to maximise the benefit of GN Hearing solutions through:

  • High-quality technical support
  • Clear product education
  • Empathetic customer care

Focusing on accessories, consumables, apps, and general product information.


About the Team

You will be part of the UK Customer Care team, encompassing both Order Entry and Technical Support. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to:

  • Offer the best support to end-users in a friendly and supportive team environment.
  • Provide a seamless, efficient experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Support:

  • Handle end-user enquiries via phone and email
  • Bridge the gap between Customer Care and Technical Support
  • Resolution of cases with collaboration across Customer Service, Sales, and Product Management

Technical Support:

  • Provide first-line technical support for:
    • Hearing devices
    • Accessories
    • Apps
    • Bluetooth pairing, connectivity (e.g. iOS/Android/mobile devices, PC compatibility)
  • Guide users on safe and confident usage of hearing aids, accessories, and apps

Soft Skills & Empathy:

  • Actively listen, respond with empathy, patience, and professionalism
  • Manage challenging interactions (e.g., frustrated or worried customers)

Product Expertise & Collaboration:

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the GN Hearing portfolio
    • Hearing devices & accessories
    • Apps & connectivity solutions
  • Work closely with colleagues and other departments to improve the end-user journey

Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in Technical Support, including:
    • Connected devices (Bluetooth/mobile syncing)
    • Troubleshooting structured workflows
    • Updating case notes and ticketing systems accurately
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or equivalents)
  • Comfortable working with iOS/Android apps

Desired Knowledge:

  • Experience in the Hearing Care industry (practical advantage)
