At KONE, we shape the future of cities.

As a global leader in the lift and escalator industry, we provide innovative solutions for maintenance, modernisation, and new equipment that add value to buildings throughout their life cycle.

We are currently looking for a Technical Surveyor to join our Modernisation Sales team, covering the Midlands region, based from our Birmingham office.

As a Technical Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting lift modernisation projects by conducting detailed surveys of existing lift equipment, particularly older and legacy systems, to identify upgrade opportunities and provide accurate technical recommendations that deliver the best solutions for our customers.

You will work closely with sales teams, customers, and technical specialists to ensure all survey information is accurate, comprehensive, and supports successful project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lift Engineer who is looking to step away from tools and into a customer-facing technical role while continuing to utilise their industry expertise.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
