Technical Team Lead / Development Manager – Full-time, Permanent
Location: Poole, Dorset (hybrid working)
Salary: £55-70,000 per annum DOE (see below) + Bonus + Benefits
The Opportunity
Would you love to take complex business ideas and turn them into innovative web application solutions, whilst exploring how AI can enhance the way software is designed, developed and delivered?
This is an opportunity to join an established telecom technology business where you'll sit at the centre of web application delivery, helping to transform ideas, requirements and business objectives into successful projects delivered by a talented development team.
This role combines technical understanding, project leadership and people management. It's ideal for someone who has come from a web development background and enjoys bringing structure to complexity, solving problems and helping teams deliver their best work.
As the business is also actively exploring ways to improve efficiency, automation and AI-assisted development practices, you'll have the opportunity to help shape how emerging technologies are adopted across the development function, identifying practical ways AI can support developers, streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
If you've found yourself becoming the person who bridges the gap between business conversations and technical delivery, this could be exactly the challenge you've been looking for!
Why This Role Stands Out
Salary
The salary range for this position is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum. This is a broad range because the company is open to considering either an experienced Development Manager, Team Lead, or a Senior Developer looking to take their first step into team leadership, with support and mentorship from the Technical Director. For the right person, there may be some flexibility on salary depending on experience, skills and overall fit for the role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
