The Opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Trainer to join our team as part of our Learning & Development Team in London.

Key Duties

The Technical Trainer role plays a central part in the long-term adoption of NavOne by creating user-focused, role-specific learning pathways; developing training materials; coordinating with project stakeholders; and facilitating engaging learning experiences that support consistent and effective system usage. The Technical Trainer is a varied and wide-ranging role. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Lead the design and delivery of NavOne technical and role-based training solutions for all Maples FS business areas.
  • Work closely with the NavOne Project Team and SteerCo to align training with project phases, system releases, and business requirements.
  • Partner with SMEs, functional leaders, and IT/NavOne system owners to identify training needs and prioritize learning initiatives.
  • Develop instructor-led training materials, system demonstrations, workflows, and user documentation.
  • Collaborate with L&D colleagues to produce e-learning modules (Articulate 360, Camtasia, screen-capture content).
  • Prepare training materials in multiple formats including Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate 360, and Camtasia.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual NavOne training sessions globally.
  • Support new joiners with NavOne onboarding, including system navigation and role-specific responsibilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date training documentation on NavOne changes, enhancements, and release impacts.
  • Provide monthly progress updates, adoption reporting, and insights to key stakeholders.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to scheduling, reporting, and learning management system updates.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties related to technical training and systems adoption.

Requirements

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Education: An excellent academic background, ideally with a professional accounting designation.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in the Fund/Fiduciary Services environment.
  • Demonstrable and practical experience in training delivery and design especially on core client administration, billing, and compliance systems.
  • A strong interest and aptitude to work on training-related projects (which will involve both training design and delivery).
  • A background in curriculum design, training preparation, and delivery (all formats).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with other teams or functions, established relationship-building skills to perform well in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent project and time management skills – proven track record for delivering on assigned projects (whether as a project team member or lead).
  • Highly organized, self-starter, and detail-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willing and enthusiastic communicator who enjoys facilitating sessions, presenting in various settings, and creating engaging learning environments.
  • Ability to display analytical and pragmatic thinking, comfortable brainstorming with collaborators.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to work and personal development.
  • Presentation skills and an interest in continuous improvement regarding facilitation, training delivery, and coaching others.
