Senior Truck Technician Trainer & Training Programme Specialist
Base Location & Salary
- Salary: £42,000–£50,000 (annual bonus up to 10%)
- Location: Whetstone, Leicester; UK-wide and occasional international travel
- Perks: Company car (electric or hybrid choice) included
About Renault Trucks & The Role
At Renault Trucks, we drive innovation—from diesel-efficient trucks to our electric E TECH range. This high-visibility role focuses on technical training to empower our dealer network for long-term success.
As part of the Competence Development Team, you’ll also host the 2026 Motor Industry Heavy Vehicle Technician Competition at Whetstone, showcasing the best in HVG talent.

Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Programmes
- Design and deliver high-quality technical training to support the dealer network’s skill development.
- Conduct on-site training at dealer or customer locations as required.
- Develop and refine engaging training content, including VR and digital tools.
- Assess training effectiveness and implement follow-up activities for real-world application.
- Ensure health & safety and professional standards are maintained.
Collaboration
- Report to the Technical Academy Manager and collaborate with UK-based specialists.
- Occasionally travel to France for training and branding support (coordination with HQ colleagues).
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Industry Expertise:
- Workshop or technical trainer experience in the HVG/Trucking sector.
- Knowledge of dealer networks, with a customer-service mindset.
- Master Technician (Level 4) + experience in a dealer setting, or equivalent hands-on expertise.
- Training & Communication:
- Skilled in designing, adapting, and improving training materials.
- Confident presenter (face-to-face and online).
- Familiar with PC systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- Adaptable mindset with an interest in new technology and agile working.

- Teaching Qualifications: CertEd, PGCE, or A1 Assessor credentials (support provided to achieve if not currently held).
